D8014/ 20014 was the only Class 20 withdrawn in Original Green Livery!

20088 was the only Class 20 to sport the revised Sector Railfreight Livery. 20 x others caried the Original Railfreight Red Stripe Livery.

228 Class 20 Locomotives were built over just under 11 years in several batches.

Bizarrely, 20226/227 received the worksplates for 20202/204 - these two locos not receiving plates at all!

20074 was the first of the class withdrawn on 31/01/1976 (Collision Damage)

Up to D8176 and D8178 were delivered in BR Green livery but then D8177 and D8179 onwards 
were Delivered in the then New BR Blue livery.

D8000 was the first Pilot Scheme Locomotive delivered on 18th June 1957

Class 20s were built at Vulcan Foundry & Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns works in Darlington.

Class 20s have been on the Mainline Rail Network for over 65 years!
